GIGI & NATE

I am very thankful Family Friendly Gaming was given a retail copy of GIGI & NATE on Blu-ray + Digital. This movies is based on the true life story of Ned Sullivan (his name was changed to Nate in the movie). A young man who had a horrific accident that left him paralyzed. He is left quadriplegic. He is given a service animal to help him. The service animal is a capuchin monkey named Gigi. GIGI & NATE shows how Gigi helps Nate begin to regain his mobility little bits at a time.

Kasey to the Rescue: The Remarkable Story of a Monkey and a Miracle is the real book that Ned's mother wrote concerning the journey of her son. Hollywood changes a lot of things from the real life story in the GIGI & NATE movie. In the real world the young man is injured in a car accident. He was a senior at the University of Arizona that was airlifted to Boston, Massachusetts. In fact the family still lives in that state. In the GIGI & NATE movie he is injured by getting bacteria from swimming in a lake that goes up his nose and infects his brain.

The issues families can have with GIGI & NATE are bad language, lack of attire, enticement to lust, feces being thrown, and more. There are plenty of scary moments within GIGI & NATE especially for the parents. By the way in the real world his dad was already dead when the accident happened. Jim Belushi does a fantastic job in GIGI & NATE. He does travel a lot to pay for the healthcare that Nate needs. There is brain eating ameoba in our world that can be found in some waterways. GIGI & NATE might be trying to draw attention to that.

At one point Nate tries to commit suicide in GIGI & NATE. He is a burden on everyone and in a lot of pain. He adjusts his wheel chair to dump his paralyzed body into a small little pond they had at their house. His dad rushes to his aid and saves his life in that instance. Once Nate meets Gigi he has something to live for. Gigi helps him with his physical therapy and getting him a lot of things he needs like at the grocery store.

Animal rights activists are horrible and hateful to the family in GIGI & NATE. They even get the law changed in the state of Tennessee. Ironically in the real world the state of TN is one of the few where service monkeys are allowed in the United States. I am seriously confused why the writers would hate on the state of TN when the state of MA is way more restrictive. In the GIGI & NATE movie the family has to move to North Carolina and their lives get a lot better.

There are plenty of heartfelt and tearful moments within GIGI & NATE. Nate gives a good speech to the committee at the state capital. I could think of so many other arguments that could be made. How many people are attacked by dogs? Why are they allowed as pets then? Animals can be trained for a plethora of things. They can be trained to harm or to help. The animal rights activists are complete and total criminals in GIGI & NATE.
