Grand Mountain Adventure Wonderlands
SCORE: 70
Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital
download code for Grand Mountain Adventure Wonderlands on the Nintendo
Switch. Grand Mountain Adventure Wonderlands is also on the Personal
Computer (PC) on that Steam platform. There are physical copies of Grand
Mountain Adventure Wonderlands available on the Nintendo Switch which
will interest the millions upon millions within the physical copy
movement.
Grand Mountain Adventure Wonderlands is a minimalistic skiing and
snowboarding video game. There are twelve maps for families to explore
if they can unlock them. As players progress in Grand Mountain Adventure
Wonderlands they must earn ski pass points. That allows them to use the
ski lifts and access new and different areas. How do we earn these
points? We must complete the race courses in a specific amount of time.
The faster you do the better the score. We need to earn gold, silver and
bronze in Grand Mountain Adventure Wonderlands.
I had one major problem with Grand Mountain Adventure Wonderlands. The
camera in Grand Mountain Adventure Wonderlands likes to swing around.
Which can be a massive problem when I am going left and right on a
snowboard. Can you figure out what goes wrong there for me? Why yes as
the camera swings around my left and right are no longer where they once
were and I miss turns, flags, gates, get stopped, etc. This caused me to
lose out over and over again on certain courses.
Grand Mountain Adventure Wonderlands is one gig in terms of memory size.
The graphics are on the small side. Try to avoid hitting other skiers
and snowboarders since hitting them can cost you time. I was also able
to easily go up hills because I could not tell graphically it was a hill
there. Miss one gate and you fail the course. Thankfully the rewind will
start you from the beginning. It would have been great if the rewind
brought me right before the mistake was made like how it works in the
Forza Horizon franchise.
If you can deal with the camera and control issues then there are some
cool areas to explore. Families can find backpacks all over the place in
these areas. There are also some cool jumps and tricks that can be
performed. Sadly there is a bit of violence, and bad language within
Grand Mountain Adventure Wonderlands. Grand Mountain Adventure
Wonderlands certain does fit under the indie umbrella.
