Hulk (2021) #4
SCORE: 64
I continue my exploration of Marvel Unlimited with Hulk (2021) #4.
There will be spoilers in this review. This comic book gets pretty
disgusting pretty fast. President Ross brings in an army to take out the
Hulk. Starship Hulk thinks nothing of going to war with a Ross again.
Things are different in Hulk (2021) #4 though. They have some massive
firepower that actually causes Starship Hulk some major damage. To make
matters worse President Ross threatens to throw out Peter from an
airplane if they do not surrender.
Peter is thrown out of the airplane and we learn he got bit by a
radioactive spider. We get a giant Spider-Man monster that fights
Starship Hulk at the end of Hulk (2021) #4. Bruce Banner of this
alternate world tries to surrender but he cannot convince the Starship
Hulk to do so as well. Which means the fighting continues. It looks like
the fighting will keep on happening in Hulk (2021) #5. I will try and
read that digital comic to find out if I am right or not. I expect
Starship Hulk to get sent where there other Hulks are.
The issues families will have with Hulk (2021) #4 are blood, gore,
violence, zombies, multiverse belief system, and more. We find out that
heroes like Tony Stark are dead. We also find out what is in Stage Four
in the engine room of the Starship Hulk. Banner is going to pay the
price to the big green angry Hulk at some point in the future. It will
not be pretty when that happens. Unless Banner has some great plan
prepared for that eventuality. I see that coming at some point. He can't
keep him trapped down there forever.
President Ross has a complete no-nonsense mentality about him in Hulk
(2021) #4. He reminds me of some people I knew when I was serving in the
military. I can tell you that not everyone in the military is like that.
At least not all of the time. President Ross sees a threat and goes
right into nullifying that threat. He is also intelligent enough to
realize he does not need to endanger himself on the front lines. A good
commander comprehends that. Even if that makes him look a little bit
weak.
Hulk (2021) #4 felt really slow. There was not a lot of progress in this
comic book. Starship Hulk realizes there are not many allies in this
alternate world based on what happened with it. This is why I have come
to the conclusion Starship Hulk needs to leave this world. He does not
belong and there are no other heroes (shown at this time) that can help
him. Time to cut his losses and move along. Maybe the next place will be
better. Hopefully it is not worse.
