Justice Duel
SCORE: 71
As I get the time I write reviews of the Evercade video games we have
done videos of. Justice Duel is one of those video games. Justice Duel
was on the Mega Cat Collection 1 Evercade cartridge. Justice Duel is
like Joust. Justice Duel is also designed for the 8-bit NES. The
graphics certainly showcase that era. The same goes for the music and
the sounds effects. I did enjoy much of the music within Justice Duel
while I played it. There are multiple waves to play through within
Justice Duel.
The coolest thing about Justice Duel is the different characters we can
choose. They all have their own backgrounds and backstories. Justice
Duel is also an upgrade on Joust with the power-ups players can collect
and earn. On top of that there are items that can be picked up and used.
I loved throwing objects at the other characters while I played a
robotic version of Abe Lincoln. Four family members can enjoy Justice
Duel at the same time. It is great when video games can bring families
together.
Justice Duel starts pretty easy and gets more challenging as players
progress through the waves. There will be more opponents to take out as
the waves get more challenging in Justice Duel. The movement of some of
the AI is intelligent and other times they are not that bright. If you
can be above your opponents then you will be able to take them out much
easier. I noticed in later waves some of the AI would hang out at the
top so I would need to fire a projectile at them. A couple of hits from
those projectiles and they are down for the count.
The eagles and dead presidents will take some flashing damage within
Justice Duel. This is the extend of the violent content in this video
game. I had fun playing Justice Duel. For some reason this game is very
addicting. I hand it to Mega Cat Studios for taking a well known concept
and adding a lot of content to it. It is neat to see new video games
done in the retro style. I hope to see sequels to Justice Duel in the
future.
Families can spend some together time competing against one another in
Justice Duel. The more I played Justice Duel the more strategies I
figured out. If you are not sure about Justice Duel then check out the
video of it in the video sections of the Family Friendly Gaming website.
The gameplay graphics look better than the menu graphics in my opinion.
The story screens in Justice Duel look pretty good for an 8-bit NES
video game.
