Lego Ninjago Garmadon #2

When we were recently at one of our local comic book stores I discovered Lego Ninjago Garmadon. I thought I grabbed the first issue to read and review but realized I had Lego Ninjago Garmadon #2. So I will be reading this story a little bit out of order. There is a small recap at the beginning of the twenty-two pages within Lego Ninjago Garmadon #2. Then we have a page for the editor in chief, and then five sketch book pages and finally the cover of the next issue is shown. There are some impressive things within Lego Ninjago Garmadon #2. There will be spoilers in this review.

If you know Lego Ninjago then you know Garmadon is a bad guy with Oni blood. In fact in some research I did I found that Oni are bringers of doom, and demonic. The interesting thing is Garmadon is doing good in Lego Ninjago Garmadon #2. He helps a village against a giant bear. There is some violent content in that fight. The bear tries to eat Garmadon as well in Lego Ninjago Garmadon #2. He does break free and trap the bear under a lot of rocks. I am not sure Garmadon would have ever been able to take down this giant bear in Lego Ninjago Garmadon #2.

The artwork is nice in Lego Ninjago Garmadon #2. The story makes sense. There is also something that will be waiting for Garmadon back at the village. Things are starting to heat up as a bad guy is doing good. Another way of looking at Lego Ninjago Garmadon #2 is a bad guy is fighting other bad guys. Does that actually make him good though? That is an interesting morals and ethics question to ponder. At least I that question is worth pondering. There is plenty of action within Lego Ninjago Garmadon #2. Why are the bears hassling these people?

The intro of Lego Ninjago Garmadon #2 is actually a dream sequence. At least I think it is supposed to be a dream sequence based on what Garmadon says to the villagers. The whole hat change shown in Lego Ninjago Garmadon #2 is interesting indeed. I am wondering if there is more behind it than we know. Was there some significance to the previous helmet? Will Garmadon actually turn to the side of light in Lego Ninjago Garmadon #2? I guess I will need to keep reading this five part story to find out. I am curious to learn that answer personally.

When Garmadon is in the mouth of the bear he sees something. There is a reference that his soul is divided. What he sees is the powerful part of him. Does he bond with it to fight the bear? Or did he use the tea to get stronger and fight the bear in Lego Ninjago Garmadon #2? I do not know the answers to these questions. I hope the answers are provided in future issues of this comic book. I enjoyed a lot of Lego Ninjago Garmadon #2. I do recognize there are some spiritual issues in Lego Ninjago Garmadon #2. If you let your kids read Lego Ninjago Garmadon #2 they may have questions for you.
