Lego Ninjago Garmadon #4
SCORE: 80
The fight between Mogra and Garmadon is all over with as Lego Ninjago
Garmadon #4 begins. There will be spoilers in this review. It really is
hard to write a review for a comic book without some spoilers if you
know what I mean. The Red Crows move into the town of Two Moon Village
and rename it to New Mograton. Garmadon is out in the woods injured. The
village elders left the village to avoid being punished by Mogra. Min
risks her life to save Garmadon and try and get him nursed back to
health.
Some Red Crows find Min and Garmadon. They are chased off by the Two
Moon Village Commandos. It occurred to me that they may not have a lot
of time before Mogra comes after Garmadon to finish him off. The reason
Mogra is setting up base in the town is to keep watch on the tea. The
tea has been how Garmadon has powered up. After the events of Lego
Ninjago Garmadon #4 there might be a new way he can power up. I will
have to read the next issue to find out if I am accurate with that
assessment.
There are plenty of flashbacks in Lego Ninjago Garmadon #4. I really
enjoyed the flashbacks because I was not aware of the history of these
characters. For me it was really neat to get some context to what turned
Garmadon evil in the first place. There are some really heart felt
moments within Lego Ninjago Garmadon #4. One of the lessons this comic
book teaches is to do the right thing. Hopefully the characters doing
the right thing will have that rewarded in future issues of this comic
book.
Garmadon admits to himself that he walked the path of darkness. He finds
out that he walked that path to its end. What path will he choose next?
Lego Ninjago Garmadon #4 can be surprisingly thought provoking at times.
Will Garmadon retread his past path or find a new one? There is also
some healing that begins in Lego Ninjago Garmadon #4 related to
Garmadon's psyche. Will Garmadon completely heal his divided heart at
some future point? I certainly hope he does. It would neat to see him go
full hero mode.
There are twenty-two pages of content, then sketch book pages, ads, and
next months cover. There is some mild violent content within Lego
Ninjago Garmadon #4. Ultimately the majority of Lego Ninjago Garmadon #4
is about getting Garmadon healthy again and giving him the motivation to
do the right thing and save the town. Mogra was defeated before.
Garmadon can take him out. He might need some help with that though. It
was a pleasure to read and review the Lego Ninjago Garmadon #4 comic
book.
