Mania Challenge
SCORE: 74
I am very thankful I had the money to
purchase the Technos Arcade 1 cartridge. This is an emulation of an
arcade video game. So that is pretty neat, and a great way for Family
Friendly Gaming to include arcade video games. I think this is the first
arcade video game we are reviewing. I am unclear why we never thought of
doing them before now. It is just neat to expand into this sector of the
industry as well. I have always enjoyed arcade video games. The Evercade
provides yet again.
The screen is a bit on the small side but it only shows off the vertical
screen that would have been on the arcade machine. Mania Challenge has
nice colors and animations. I could tell what all the different moves
were as well. There are not a lot of wrestlers included within Mania
Challenge. What is there looks decent and reminds me of some well known
wrestlers from that time period.
Mania Challenge sounds great. I really got into the music and special
effect sounds. Mania Challenge felt like being at a wrestling match or
participating in a wrestling match. It can take some time to learn the
different commands and moves within Mania Challenge. I had trouble
getting back into the ring the first time I played Mania Challenge. I
had to look that up in the small manual with smaller print to learn how
to do that.
Noah and I had fun playing
Mania Challenge together. It is really neat
to be able to play arcade games at home legally without massive
machinery. I know there are other options on the market but I have not
tested their quality to determine if they are worth it or not. I am all
in on the Evercade and continue to appreciate what they have been
bringing to families. Mania Challenge is an interesting wrestling video
game. Maybe WWF Wrestlefest will come to the Evercade in the future.
At its core Mania Challenge is a fighting game where we can move around
the ring. We can go outside the ring and fight as well. The violent
content is going to be what bothers families the most in Mania
Challenge. There is also a lack of attire since most of the wrestlers
are not wearing much. I would not say there is enticement to lust but
you might disagree with me on that.
