Paw Patrol Grand Prix
SCORE: 84
I am very thankful Family Friendly Gaming
was given a digital download code for Paw Patrol Grand Prix on the Xbox
Series X. Families can also find Paw Patrol Grand Prix on the Nintendo
Switch, Personal Computer (PC), Playstation 4 (PS4), Playstation 5
(PS5), and Xbox One. There are seventeen tracks families can race on in
the Adventure Mode of Paw Patrol Grand Prix. Some of them are the same
tracks just at different times. So the Adventure Bay Track at day is
one, and Adventure Bay Track at night is considered another one.
Did you catch the live stream where I played all seventeen tracks of Paw
Patrol Grand Prix? If you missed it then you can find it in the video
section of the Family Friendly Gaming website. As we get time and
resources we will get that video uploaded to our different video sites.
I had some fun playing Paw Patrol Grand Prix. I got first place on all
but two of them in the first time I raced them. Those other two were
second place and third place respectively.
I am impressed with how nice Paw Patrol Grand Prix looks. I did not have
the game crash on me once so that is also nice. I am definitely into the
music and voice acting within Paw Patrol Grand Prix. Your pup will say
many of the same things while you are racing. Mayor Humdinger is quite
the treat. He will lay down challenges for all of the racers. Some of
them will slow you down for a bit. I learned to avoid them as much as
possible.
The drift boost is fantastic within Paw Patrol Grand Prix. In fact
really good players can probably drift boost, and use regular boosts
throughout an entire race. Each pup you race with has a different power.
I raced with Chase and he has a siren that slows down anyone around him.
Think about what happens in traffic if a police officer turns on his
lights and sirens. Other racers have different power ups that are
charged by collecting treats.
There are also items that can be found while racing in Paw Patrol Grand
Prix. These items can speed up the racer, slow down other racers, drop
things like pies on the track and more. Those items are similar to what
we collect from question blocks in Mario Kart games. I am bit perplexed
the ESRB could not find any words to describe that comic mischief
violent content. But then the ESRB has been a failure for families for
so many years now.
All in all I enjoyed the racing and the tracks within Paw Patrol Grand
Prix. I was able to easily go through the game on the normal mode. There
are harder difficulties and easier ones if you need them. Families can
also race with each of the different pups within Paw Patrol Grand Prix.
There are ten racers within Paw Patrol Grand Prix. Three of those racers
are unlockable. Ryder is also selectable within Paw Patrol Grand Prix as
a racer. We will purchase a physical copy of this game when we get the
financial resources.
