Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings

Thanks to a Disney+ discount of $1.99 for a month we purchased a month to try and get through as many television shows and movies that we could. The first one up for this two dollar month is Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings. I had heard there were all kinds of controversies surrounding Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings. Having to read so much of the movie due to it being in another language was really annoying. Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings started off on the wrong foot.

Please note there will be spoilers in this review. Xu Wenwu had these ten rings and he conquered all kinds of places and peoples. He amassed wealth and built an organization to control the world. He heard of a secret village with amazing secret martial arts. He went and fell in love with the woman who turned him away from this village. They fall in love, get married and have two kids. His criminal past comes back to haunt him and she is murdered while he was gone. He hardens and trains his son to be an assassin.

The thing is his son does not want to be an assassin. So his son runs away to America. He gets a job parking cars. He has a flaky female friend Katy. They are attacked on a bus and that is when we find out about Shaun's past. His dad is after him and his sister. So he goes to his sister and they both wind up getting captured by their dad. Their dad is after this hidden village because he believes his dead wife is being held captive there behind some huge wall. It is actually the soul eater that is deceiving him.

The issues families can have with Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings are false gods, blood, bad language, violence, magic, mysticism and more. It takes two hours and fifteen minutes to get through Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings. The scenes in the credits are pretty interesting. Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings itself as a movie is pretty much the typical MCU movie. It has a lot more martial arts and Chinese content, but in the end it is very predictable.

There is quite the mystery where the ten rings come from. The odd mythical creatures are interesting to see in Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings. I liked that dragon personally. I expect there will be more of this character in future MCU movies. Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings does not really help us understand where Phase Four is going though. There are some cool fight scenes within Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings like on the bamboo outside that building.
