Star Wars The High Republic Adventures #3

I am very thankful I had the money to find Star Wars The High Republic Adventures #3. I am also thankful I was able to find this comic book after seeing advertisements for it in other IDW Publishing comic books. I am not sure how many more comic books I will read in the Star Wars The High Republic Adventures series though. The first one I read did not impress me and now this one impresses me even less. Please be aware there will be spoilers in this review. Star Wars The High Republic Adventures #3 contains thirty pages of content and then some advertisements.

Ty and Drewen continue along their quest to find these monsters that are harassing the village. They are also there to save a young lady. Star Wars The High Republic Adventures #3 is the classic example of what annoys so many people about the woke radicals. Star Wars The High Republic Adventures #3 redefines everything from past entertainment. In fact Star Wars The High Republic Adventures #3 just reverses the roles from the past and from reality.

We have a whiny male character subservant to a gruff, grisled female character. We have the inexperienced and talkative male character annoying the quiet female character. In my entire life I have never seen this situation. In fact I have seen the exact opposite situation. Why does Star Wars The High Republic Adventures #3 feel the need to give complete gender role reversals? It does not end there though. The monster is doing good by kidnapping the girl, and the villagers are bad. It is so unbelievable that Star Wars The High Republic Adventures #3 loses all credibility.

The Gretalax in Star Wars The High Republic Adventures #3 is actually intelligent. This hairy beast controls the spiders. Ty tries to reach out to the Gretalax through the force and the Gretalax actually does the connecting for the two of them. Ty's connection to the force works sometimes and does not others. It really feels like the ability to use the force is being used as a crutch in the story telling.

It looks like the young blonde lady needs some medical attention. I am not sure how the monsters are providing that medical attention in Star Wars The High Republic Adventures #3. There is some drama near the end of Star Wars The High Republic Adventures #3 where Ty learns what the Gretalax did. We are not shown what that is though. So I am not sure whose side Ty is actually on. She could be siding with the monster. The monster she could be talking about is the humans though.
