The Smurfs Season 1 Volume 2

I am very thankful Family Friendly Gaming was given a retail version of The Smurfs Season 1 Volume 2 for this review. There are sixteen episodes on The Smurfs Season 1 Volume 2 DVD disc. Some of the episodes are double length. I spent somewhere around three hours watching The Smurfs Season 1 Volume 2. I could not find the full run time length in my research of this DVD. Most cases have it listed but The Smurfs Season 1 Volume 2 does not. The Smurfs Season 1 Volume 2 does say it contains episodes 10-18 of Season One.

There are plenty of interesting and friendly Smurfs in The Smurfs Season 1 Volume 2. The Smurfs have a great society that mirrors a lot of the early Christian church. They come together as a community, and respect one another. There are men and women who both have their roles to fulfill. Each Smurf in The Smurfs Season 1 Volume 2 has a different skill or ability. Their names usually reflect this. Take Chef for example - he is a cook. Clumsy has all kinds of accidents. There are more female Smurfs in The Smurfs Season 1 Volume 2 than just Smurfette.

There is comic mischief and cartoon violence within The Smurfs Season 1 Volume 2. Plenty of characters have things explode in their face ala Looney Tunes. There are even curses and mojo within The Smurfs Season 1 Volume 2. One character steals the abilities and mojo of another character in The Smurfs Season 1 Volume 2. Bad luck befalls those that touch a certain amulet within The Smurfs Season 1 Volume 2. The only way to break the curse in that show is to bury the amulet where they found it. The only problem was Vanity enjoyed looking at it without touching it.

The Smurfs Season 1 Volume 2 takes us to an alternate world where the Smurfs are bad and Gargamel is good. They are called the Pluffs there though. It felt like the Mirrorverse concept from Star Trek. Which is fine because that concept is a really scary one. What if all the good people were bad and all of the bad people were good? How would you survive that as a good person trying to pretend to be bad? Could you even do it?

Gargamel catches the Smurfs in numerous episodes within The Smurfs Season 1 Volume 2. There is always someone left over to save the rest though. There is plenty of magic and deception within The Smurfs Season 1 Volume 2. Jokey is a Smurf that does all kinds of damage within The Smurfs Season 1 Volume 2. Brainy also does some damage with his review of Chef's cooking. The Smurfs Season 1 Volume 2 teaches families to apologize and think of the feelings of others.
