The Suicide Squad
SCORE: 39
I am very thankful I had the money to
purchase the Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Code version of The Suicide Squad.
I was very curious to see this super hero war movie as it had been
described by some people. The Suicide Squad reminds me of Rambo movies
just with low grade villains. The country of Corto Maltese has been
overthrown. The US government sends in The Suicide Squad to remove all
evidence of their involvement with the Starro project.
The issues families will have with The Suicide Squad is violence, blood,
gore, bad language, nudity, and more. The bad language is so excessive
in The Suicide Squad. The same goes for the blood and gore. There are so
many things included in The Suicide Squad that could have easily been
left out. Yet they were included and constantly over the top. There is
so much in The Suicide Squad that we did not need to see.
The one saving grace within The Suicide Squad is the humor. An early
example is when an entire team drops out of an air vehicle into the
water near a beach. They are to swim to the shore. One of the characters
Weasel is floundering around. Someone asks if anyone checked if Weasel
could swim. The people back at the operation center are intenting
looking at their keyboards.
There are other situational moments of humor within The Suicide Squad.
They are told to rescue this guy who has been captured. They kill all of
these guards and eventually get to the guy. Only to find out he is not a
prisoner but the guest of the rebels. They made a deal to work together
to take down the government. The rebel leader finds out what happened to
all of her men. Bad intel is a real problem.
There are plenty of big names in The Suicide Squad. I loved seeing
Nathan Fillion in The Suicide Squad. It is so weird to hear so much
profanity and crash attitude out of John Cena in The Suicide Squad.
Other characters seem to fit their roles just fine though. Polka-Dot Man
is certainly the strangest in The Suicide Squad. Harley Quinn is very
subdued in The Suicide Squad.
