Thor Love and Thunder

The last movie we watched with our $1.99 month of Disney+ was Thor Love and Thunder. We have now canceled Disney+ yet again. We blitzed through all of the TV shows and movies we wanted to see. No need to keep the service. There will be spoilers in this review. I did not expect much going into Thor Love and Thunder. With all of the controversies I just expected Thor Love and Thunder to be bad. Then there is the known issue with having a male heroes role taken by another female. I expected Thor Love and Thunder to be horrible and to tell you that.

I actually enjoyed Thor Love and Thunder. I love the fact that Jane Foster died at the end of Thor Love and Thunder. Giving her the powers of Thor thanks to Mjolnir gave her a legitimate reason to be in Thor Love and Thunder. Having her die from cancer and using the hammer was killing her quicker also made a nice plotline. This is Marvel so they may find a way to bring her back. Especially since she was in the end credits scene appearing in Valhalla. Tony Stark was given no such scene.

The issues families will have with Thor Love and Thunder are false gods, violence, blood, gore, lack of attire, enticement to lust, sexual deviancy, nudity, bad language, and more. Thor Love and Thunder takes viewers to Omnipotence City. That city is where all of the false gods from all kinds of religious beliefs. At first it looks like Thor kills Zeus in Thor Love and Thunder. We find out later he is alive and Hercules will be coming after him in a future movie.

Thor Love and Thunder has amazing music that really sets the tone. There are so many: "THIS IS AWESOME!" moments within Thor Love and Thunder. I was not expecting to enjoy this movie as much as I did. Korg is like a bard constantly telling us the wonders of Thor in Thor Love and Thunder. Christian Bale does a fantastic job with Gorr. His motivations are believable. I also love how Thor changes Gorr's wish by telling him and showing him how to choose love. Since Gorr changed his wish Thor now has a young lady to take care of.

The humor in Thor Love and Thunder is great. In fact there are more funny moments in Thor Love and Thunder than the entire first season of She Hulk. Many of the humor within Thor Love and Thunder was easily anticipated. Like when Thor wins the battle and gets these bird people out of this temple. Thor winds up destroying the temple in the process. We laughed and laughed at all kinds of part within Thor Love and Thunder.

Thor shows quite a bit of development and growth in Thor Love and Thunder. This is what happens when Marvel lets a character stay alive for multiple movies. I am looking forward to the next Thor movie thanks to Thor Love and Thunder. At times Thor is a bit too emotional in my opinion. I am not clear on what bothered him about a future with Jane when the two of them drifted apart. The MCU has had a lot of misses lately. I do not feel that Thor Love and Thunder is one of them.
