Two Crude Dudes

I am very thankful I had the money to purchase the Data East Collection 1 on the Evercade systems. Two Crude Dudes was on the Genesis back in the day. There are some large character models in Two Crude Dudes. Since the 16-bit era was not ready for that the movements can be on the slow side. Expect quite a bit of violence within Two Crude Dudes. This is one of those beat em up games where we punch and kick all of the enemies in our path. We also punch and kick objects that are in our way like walls. I kid you not about that. I literally had to break walls that were in my way in Two Crude Dudes.

The story within Two Crude Dudes had me laughing. In the year of our Lord 2010 New York City was hit with a nuclear explosion. The city was left in ruins. A group called Big Valley came in and conquered New York City. The US government will pay these two men really well to clear Big Valley out of the city so restoration can begin. Two Crude Dudes does not really have any concern about things like radiation. We all know that would be a part of the problem if New York City was hit with a nuclear bomb. The time line is also kind of funny. The fact that no one claimed responsibility for destroying that city is also a little odd.

The controls in Two Crude Dudes can be very clunky. I had issues breaking some of the walls in this game. The collision detection could be much better in my personal and professional opinion. I figure it must be part of the era it came from. I do know of other similar video games that controlled better. I still suspect the size of the characters in Two Crude Dudes. We get plenty of really large characters in Two Crude Dudes. I wonder if there were issues with animation and collision detection based on the sizes of the characters. I could be completely off base there. It just seems like a plausible theory.

Expect to experience plenty of cheap hits while playing Two Crude Dudes. I got very frustrated with this personally. I am not a fan of enemies off screen being able to hit the player but we cannot hit them back. Two family members can muddle through Two Crude Dudes together if they so desire. Your family will need two Evercades or an Evercade VS with two controllers. Please note we did not test plugging two Evercade hand held systems together to verify this would actually work. We have been told it would work.

I enjoyed the music within Two Crude Dudes. It enhanced the destroy everything in my path ultra aggression game play of Two Crude Dudes. I found Two Crude Dudes to be a bit on the boring side. How many times can we bash the same looking guys? After awhile I just wanted to take a nap. There is a video of Two Crude Dudes in the video section of the Family Friendly Gaming website. I live streamed this Evercade cartridge on Twitch. I then separated the content into videos based on the games. Two Crude Dudes is one of those games. I do not remember Two Crude Dudes from the 16-bit era.
