I am very thankful that Family Friendly Gaming was sent a retail copy of the USB-C 7-in 1 Multifunction Adapter. You might be wondering what exactly the USB-C 7-in 1 Multifunction Adapter is for. Well this little piece of hardware is in essence a docking station for the Steam Deck. There has been a lot of internal discussion here at Family Friendly Gaming concerning the USB-C 7-in 1 Multifunction Adapter. Could this be used to replace a Gaming PC in some homes?

Let me tell you what you get with the USB-C 7-in 1 Multifunction Adapter. There is a nice docking section that holds the Steam Deck. There is a plugin from the back right of the USB-C 7-in 1 Multifunction Adapter to the Steam Deck. USB-C 7-in 1 Multifunction Adapter includes an ethernet connection on the left side. In the back is an USB-C PD, DP, HDMI, and then three USB 3.2 ports. Theoretically quite a few families could replace a Gaming PC with the USB-C 7-in 1 Multifunction Adapter and Steam Deck.

I should dig a little deeper into the contents of the USB-C 7-in 1 Multifunction Adapter. This nice little unit contains 100W Fast Charge, the HDMI is at 4K@60Hz, the DP is also at 4K@60Hz, the Ethernet port is RJ45 Gigabit, and the Data Transmission is at 10Gbps. USB-C 7-in 1 Multifunction Adapter supports a 5V/1A power supply. These are some nice little specs that are above what most families would need.

You might have heard that the Steam Deck has become quite the success and in many ways shames the Nintendo Switch. My main issue with the Steam Deck is no ability to play physical copies of games. If you are looking for a better experience with your Steam Deck then you should check out the USB-C 7-in 1 Multifunction Adapter. If you are considering using the Steam Deck over a Gaming PC then you definitely need to check out the USB-C 7-in 1 Multifunction Adapter.

The first thing I noticed about the USB-C 7-in 1 Multifunction Adapter is its weight. It will stay down when a Steam Deck is put into it. That is pretty important in my opinion. I have had issues with a plethora of docking stations for the Nintendo Switch. When they are too small and too light they can get knocked over too easy. I do not see that problem with the USB-C 7-in 1 Multifunction Adapter.
