1899 Season One
SCORE: 54
I just finished watching 1899 Season One. I did not know much about
this television show except it may have something to do with the Bermuda
Triangle. Netflix showed me a preview after watching other television
shows. Netflix thought I would really like to watch 1899 Season One.
There are eight episodes in this television show. Each episode is around
the one hour time range. There will be spoilers in this review.
1899 Season One is dark and dreary. At times I wondered if 1899 Season
One is a horror television show. There are certainly creepy elements
within 1899 Season One. At the end of 1899 Season One I realized this
show is definitely science fiction. I also noticed that the lips and
words did not always match. 1899 Season One is a bit weird that way.
Maybe 1899 Season One is like The Squid Game television show in that
regard.
The issues families will have with 1899 Season One are lack of attire,
enticement to lust, rape, bad language, false gods, promotes sexual
deviancy, blood, violence, and more. 1899 Season One loves to attack
Christians and people of faith. Why was that needed in the eight
episodes of 1899 Season One? Men are shown as sexist against women in
1899 Season One. 1899 Season One tries to deal with what is reality but
does not do a good job.
Emily Beecham is on this boat to find her missing brother. They find his
ship abandoned all except for a boy locked up. A mysterious man also
swims over to their ship. Along the way we meet other characters with a
wide array of problems. Each character has something haunting them. We
go over it for most of the characters in 1899 Season One. As the story
progresses there are things that make no sense like tunnels below a
couple of the cabins.
At the end of 1899 Season One we find out all of the people are on a
space ship going to a new planet. They are all in this computer
generated simulation. Nothing that happens in the simulation is actually
real. That includes everyone that dies. The computer simulation was
corrupted so maybe that causes some problems. As I write this review is
no plan for a second season. I have no idea what would happen in the
future of this science fiction fantasy universe. It was a tough show to
watch from start to end. I can see why so many people gave up on the
show. The clever ending is all 1899 Season One has going for it.
