Alaskan Road Truckers
SCORE: 68
We get plenty of emails, posts, and other comments where ya'll tell
us you love when we tell behind the scene stories. So there will be one
in relation to Alaskan Road Truckers. Some of ya'll might be like - why
are you playing a Steam game? I thought you hated digital downloads
because they are disposable. Others might wonder why I made time for a
game where we did not get paid for our hard work that makes them money.
Noah found out about Alaskan Road Truckers thanks to This Week On Xbox.
We watch it together on Friday nights before the guys movie night. Noah
wanted to play Alaskan Road Truckers. We are console gamers and are not
big on PC games. I searched stores and online since we are HUGE in the
physical copy movement. Not big on those disposable digital downloads
that have zero real world value to them. I was unable to find a physical
copy of Alaskan Road Truckers anywhere in the US.
We do Lurkit for the video sponsorships since those companies actually
care about us and want us to continue to exist going forward by putting
money into the massive costs we have to deal with. I normally ignore all
of these companies begging me to be their slave labor and play their
games for free. Alaskan Road Truckers came over with a free digital
download code that has no value to it. I went to Noah and said I can get
you a free copy of this game on Steam. I know it is not ideal. I know it
is not what you want. Noah decided it would be worth it.
Graphically Alaskan Road Truckers does not look the greatest. It is
obvious to me that Alaskan Road Truckers is an indie looking video game.
I have no clue if the areas portrayed in Alaskan Road Truckers are
accurate or not. There is some talking in Alaskan Road Truckers that can
help players with this challenging game. I did run into an alcohol
reference at one point in Alaskan Road Truckers.
Players must do realistic things with the truck like plug in those
cables, and use the hand brake. Alaskan Road Truckers does have
controller support. Noah like the twangy music more than I did. We ran
into lag and other issues with Alaskan Road Truckers. The controls can
be challenging at times. Both Noah and I got the trucks stuck multiple
times. We also ran into issues running out of gas. Loading times are
long as well.
We have played plenty of other trucker video games, even Arctic ones.
Alaskan Road Truckers is decent if you want a feel for the life of the
trucker. You will need to maintain your drivers, health, energy and food
as well as the truck. If you get really stuck you can use the CB radio
to call for Roadside Assistance. I have no clue how much that costs. We
found plenty of ways to fail in Alaskan Road Truckers.
