Alf Season Four
SCORE: 70
I am very thankful I had the money to purchase the complete Alf
series on DVD. The final season I have of this television show is Alf
Season Four. I can see why this show wound up dying after this season.
They even tried a cliff hanger ending in the final episode that in
retrospect makes no sense. Maybe they hoped it would garner interest in
the show being given another season. I could think of a better ending
personally.
There will be spoilers in this review. In the final episode Alf is going
to leave to start his life with Rhonda. The Tanner family is sad to see
him go, but they are happy he is getting to start his life with his own
kind. Alf shows up at the location, and so does the Alien Task Force.
The ship leaves Alf on Earth with all these military men around him. I
feel it would have been better for Alf to leave Earth at the end of Alf
Season Four.
The issues families can have with Alf Season Four are violence, lies,
deceit, rebellion, attacks on people of faith, environmentalism,
supporting shacking up, and more. I honestly was pretty disappointed in
Alf Season Four. There were some laughs here and there. A lot of it got
old and stale. This show was preaching radical far left beliefs way too
often in Alf Season Four. There was never any defense of morals, ethics
or faith in Alf Season Four. Instead attacks and mockery.
There were a couple of episodes on the Alf Season Four disc that were
from the previous season. Baby Eric is a part of Alf Season Four quite
often. Alf finds out he is a cat lover in Alf Season Four. This honestly
made little sense to me. Their main food group is cats. So to not be
able to eat one when he had the opportunity was a bit odd to me. It
really went against the vein of the character. But then Hollyweird does
that quite often.
It took me eight hours and twenty minutes to watch Alf Season Four from
start to finish. I found an Easter Egg with enticement to lust and lack
of attire within it on the final page of the final disc. The comedy
episode in Alf Season Four made little sense to me. Someone gets big off
these jokes and then hated for using the same jokes. Plenty of comedians
do that. They need new material at some point but not a few days later.
