Babylon 5 In Valen's Name #1

Peter and I were at a local comic book store and he talked me into looking at some of the used comic books. I did not want to get a lot since we are on a budget and only have so much money to spend on purchasing reviewable materials. I am glad I looked because I found all three issues in the Babylon 5 In Valen's Name mini series. There are three issues in this series if you wondered. There will be spoilers in this review.

Babylon 5 In Valen's Name #1 lets us find out what happened with Babylon 4 after the last great war with the Shadows. We are also able to learn more about Valen. If you watched the Babylon 5 television show then you know who Valen actually was. I will not spoil that little tidbit for you. Valen is a Minbari not born from a Minbari. It may sound a bit complex but again if you watch the television show you will understand what transpires.

I noticed an advertisement at the back of Babylon 5 In Valen's Name #1 for a Playstation one video game. That tells you how old Babylon 5 In Valen's Name #1 actually is. The art looks like the actors from the show. I am really impressed with that. A lot of the tones used in Babylon 5 In Valen's Name #1 are on the darker side. I am not as thrilled about that. We are out in space and the lighting is not always the greatest.

There is twenty-four pages of content within Babylon 5 In Valen's Name #1. Advertisements can be found throughout the Babylon 5 In Valen's Name #1 comic book. Babylon 5 In Valen's Name #1 sold for $2.50 when it came out. It cost me $6.00 to purchase this comic book. I am not that thrilled about the price but at least it retained its value and improved over the years. So maybe if I keep it for decades it will keep increasing in price.

The issues families can have with Babylon 5 In Valen's Name #1 are violence, and lack of attire. The history records on B4 are really cool. The Whitestar is damaged in Babylon 5 In Valen's Name #1. I hope it will be okay. The crew finds there are aliens on B4 and it will be crashing into this planet really soon. They want to save it, but they may need to get saved themselves. I am excited to keep reading this mini series.
