Babylon 5 In Valen's Name #2
SCORE: 76
Babylon 5 In Valen's Name #2 is the second in this three part series
that I found used at one of our local comic book stores. Babylon 5 In
Valen's Name #2 cost me $4.00 to purchase with a cover and a backing.
The age of this comic book is showing and I heard some sounds while
reading this comic book. I am sure I dropped the value of my copy of
Babylon 5 In Valen's Name #2 by reading it. This is a shame but I am
interested in finding out what happens in this story. The well known B5
characters are stuck on a dead B4 that is slowly going down to crash
into a planet. They were attacked while they were in there so they are
trying to get rescued and learn about Valen. There will be spoilers in
this review.
The issues families will have with Babylon 5 In Valen's Name #2 are
violence, blood, language, evolution, and more. We are introduced in
Babylon 5 In Valen's Name #2 to the Tak'cha. They believe in mercy by
murdering those that are in their way. This is a pretty dark concept in
my opinion. The Tak'cha also appear in force at the end of Babylon 5 In
Valen's Name #2. They have made it to the station and they have designs
on it. They are the ones that attacked the heroes on B4. I do not think
diplomacy will work even if they could communicate with the Tak'cha.
The mainline content of Babylon 5 In Valen's Name #2 is twenty-four
pages. There are older ads found throughout this comic book. It can be
fun to see some of these older ads. I feel like the art and dialogue
have lasted really well in Babylon 5 In Valen's Name #2. There is an
exciting reason at the end of Babylon 5 In Valen's Name #2 to read the
next issue. I can see that things will eventually work out for the
heroes in the last issue. The heroes find a working ship in Babylon 5 In
Valen's Name #2. Garbaldi uses his tried and true method of whacking
something to get it to work.
The story about Valen in Babylon 5 In Valen's Name #2 is an interesting
one indeed. His arrival broke down the walls of the castes. He was an
uniting force that helps them turn the tide of war against the Shadows.
At the same time he mourned all of the dead after each battle. Zathras
plays an important role in the past in Babylon 5 In Valen's Name #2 as
well. He keeps others from Valen while he mourns all of the dead. There
are some interesting Mibari lessons found within Babylon 5 In Valen's
Name #2. The alien concepts are very fascinating to me.
There is no recap at the start of Babylon 5 In Valen's Name #2. I wish
there had been some kind of quick explanation as to what has been going
on. I am enjoying this series and look forward to the time when I can
read the third and final issue in this series. I really hope that
Babylon 5 comes back in some form or fashion in the near future. Babylon
5 In Valen's Name #2 shows the promise of the show as well as how good
it is as a science fiction universe. There are so many more things to
explore in Babylon 5. It continues to be a pleasure to read and review
this series.
