Babylon 5 In Valen’s Name #3

It is a bittersweet moment for me. I have finished off this series with Babylon 5 In Valen’s Name #3. I am able to move onto other things. On the other hand I enjoyed my time with this Babylon 5 content. Things are looking grim and dire for the characters on the station. There will be spoilers in this review. They learn more about the race of Tak’Cha. They were exiled by Valen for murdering innocents that would not join the war against the Shadows a thousand years ago.

The Tak’Cha took Valen’s words to mean something else. I am a bit confused by Sinclair did not explain to not attack those who wanted to stay out of the war. If they aid the enemy then attack them. Do not expect it will happen in the future though. Valen just cast the Tak’Cha down and it was to their great shame. John Sheridan takes an old Minbari ship out to greet the Tak’Cha. Unfortunately as he is trying to back away he hits weapons instead of thrusters. He blows up some of their ships. He did not understand the controls.

The Tak’Cha attack the Babylon 4 space station in full force. Things look really bad for the main characters in Babylon 5 In Valen’s Name #3. The fighting stops when they hear Delenn’s name. She found out who they were and what their history was. There was a point in history a thousand years ago when Valen wanted to avoid the Minbari Human war by passing something down to her through the Tak’Cha. The Vorlon stop Valen from changing history.

The issues families can have with Babylon 5 In Valen’s Name #3 are violence, language, false gods, and more. Ads can be found throughout Babylon 5 In Valen’s Name #3. There are twenty-four pages of content within this comic book that cost me four dollars. It sold for $2.50 when it was originally released. So it retained its value and a bit more. Although probably not if I tried to sell it back to a comic book store.

In the end of Babylon 5 In Valen’s Name #3 Valen says he found her at long last. I think Valen was referencing Catherine Sakai. I had to do a bit of research to make that determination. Babylon 4 winds up being completely destroyed at the end of Babylon 5 In Valen’s Name #3. I am not sure if any of the data was taken out or not. Babylon 5 In Valen’s Name #3 gives a nice window into what happened to Sinclair when he went back into time and became Valen.
