Batman Beyond Neo-Gothic #3
SCORE: 69
I was really excited to read Batman Beyond Neo-Gothic #3 when I found
out it would be about the Court of Owls. After reading Batman Beyond
Neo-Gothic #3 I am more confused that ever. It is like there is this
lore I am missing big time. There are also some very interesting moments
within Batman Beyond Neo-Gothic #3. There will be spoilers in this
review of Batman Beyond Neo-Gothic #3.
Batman Beyond Neo-Gothic #3 becomes all about the cat guy Kyle. Batman
Beyond and Kyle make it to the Court of Owls. There are all these
animated corpses that attack them. There is even one that resembles the
original Batman. This makes zero sense to me. How are these things
alive? What is this garden they reference? How did these kids get taken
this far down? The kids had to go past Killer Croc and now this Court of
Owls. It makes little to no sense to me.
Kyle goes really strong into the magic in Batman Beyond Neo-Gothic #3.
Readers learn that John Constantine as a really old man offered Kyle a
hand. Kyle thought it was friendship but later learned that John
Constantine used him to stay alive a bit longer. Also John Constantine
passed along all these curses to Kylie. That is why the Court of Owls
and this garden want him.
I suspect there is more to the story than Kyle told us in Batman Beyond
Neo-Gothic #3. After all John Constantine got sucked up by this garden.
So maybe ole Johnny boy wants some revenge. I am not sure about that. It
is just a theory. I will need to keep reading to find out for certain. I
could see the storyline going that direction after Batman Beyond
Neo-Gothic #3.
The cave tries to reach Batman in Batman Beyond Neo-Gothic #3 since
Lumos is doing these buildings of light. Batman Beyond Neo-Gothic #3
contains twenty-three pages of comic book content. Advertisements can be
found throughout the Batman Beyond Neo-Gothic #3 comic book. There is
also a preview of Justice League vs. Godzilla vs Kong. The DC Spotlight
is on the rebooted Flash series.
