Batman Beyond Neo Year #6

I was talking with the local comic book store owner and found out that Batman Beyond Neo Year #6 was the last issue in this series. I was a bit surprised. I purchased Batman Beyond Neo Year #6 some time ago and it has been sitting in my pile awaiting my attention. I get to the issues as fast as I can but the explosion of comic books into our review scene has been crazy. I also prioritize comic books based on the perceived family friendly nature of the series thus far. Batman Beyond Neo Year #6 sends this series out with a bang. Batman Beyond Neo Year #6 also has a bit of a secret surprise at the very end of it. There will be spoilers in this review.

Terry, Barbara, Boonma, and Gestalt have a plan to stop the AI. Terry confronts Donovan and lets him know this AI has co-opted his wearable hologram technology. In a shocking twist Donovan opts in to let the AI take over his body. It is a battle between him and Batman. Except Batman has some friends to help out. Can you guess who helps Batman in Batman Beyond Neo Year #6? It is the Jokers. I was really shocked to see that. I understand Barbara, Boonma, and Gestalt helping out. They find the source and jam it. They save the people of Neo Gotham from being enslaved in Batman Beyond Neo Year #6. Batman has some cool tricks and gear in Batman Beyond Neo Year #6.

The violence consists of things like unleashing a light to disable the wearable hologram tech that is forcing the people to attack Batman. There are explosions on Donovan for example. We see massive explosions but no damage to the person. I think Batman Beyond Neo Year #6 did a good job of avoiding the violence within Batman Beyond Neo Year #6. The AI is defeated and the future looks bright for this futuristic DC universe in Batman Beyond Neo Year #6. Terry and Boonma may be starting a romance at the end of Batman Beyond Neo Year #6. Terry decides he needs to find some peace at the end of Batman Beyond Neo Year #6.

The shocking thing at the end of Batman Beyond Neo Year #6 is Batman Beyond is coming back in 2023. I am pretty excited about that. I was a little bummed that Batman Beyond Neo Year #6 was the last issue in this series. To find out Batman Beyond is coming back is pretty cool. Barbara and Gestalt are working on getting the Batcave fixed up. They also have ideas on making it better. Bruce Wayne is still gone, but it actually makes sense so Terry can move on and take on that mantle. Batman Beyond Neo Year #6 shines with more hope and some great art in a plethora of places. The team really works together. I loved seeing retired police come back to help assist the civilians.

After the final content of Batman Beyond Neo Year #6 we get a page honoring Tim Sale. There have been a lot of comic books related people dying lately. There are ads throughout Batman Beyond Neo Year #6. There are also twenty-two pages of content. A lot of the issues of Batman Beyond Neo Year have been downers. Batman Beyond Neo Year #6 turned that around in a great way. It makes all of the downer issues a bit better and easier to swallow. I hope the next Batman Beyond series is fantastic. I will find out when the time comes Lord willing. I hope the next series explores this futuristic fantasy world a bit more in depth.
