Captain America 2012 #1
SCORE: 67
I find myself laughing most days. For whatever reason we drown in all
kinds of things to review. There are so many things out there and so few
hours to work on them. This is one of the reasons I actually enjoy comic
books. There is less time involved in processing these products for
reviews. Captain America #1 is another one of those given to me for free
during the free comic book day of 2023. I am just now getting to it.
There will be spoilers in this review.
Captain America #1 comes from 2012. I did some research on this because
there are multiple comic books that have the name and number of Captain
America #1. I am not sure what the comic book industry is doing with
that. It can get really confusing. There was even a free digital copy of
Captain America #1 available. I am not sure if that still works or not.
I am not a fan of the digital comics personally.
The issues families can have with Captain America #1 are lack of attire,
enticement to lust, violence, blood, and more. Captain America is
kidnapped in Captain America #1. Zola is taking his blood to make his
own super soldiers. There is a part in Captain America #1 that is pretty
disturbing. A needle is thrust into Captain America's chest. I guess it
is getting blood straight from his heart.
Captain America #1 contains twenty-two pages of comic book content.
There are advertisements seen all throughout this comic book. It is
interesting to me to see certain comic books are being rebooted every
single decade. I make that statement based on the ads from this comic
book from over ten years ago and seeing them start up again in the 2020
decade. There is also a Letters to a Living Legend page within Captain
America #1.
I have little to no interest in reading this comic book series. It was
an interesting piece of history for me to see. Captain America #1 did
not entice me to keep reading it. Sharon proposing to Steve Rogers was
really weird. I guess Marvel has been attacking traditions for a long
time. No wonder so many people stopped reading comic books. Return to
morals and ethics Marvel.
