Codemasters Collection 1

I am so thankful I had the money to purchase a copy of the Codemasters Collection 1 Evercade cartridge. This is the nineteenth cartridge in the main line of their retro and indie game compilation cartridges. There are seventeen games on Codemasters Collection 1. The games on this cartridge are Bee 52, Big Nose Freaks Out, Big Nose the Caveman, Boomerang Kid, CJ’s Elephant Antics, Cannon Fodder, Cosmic Spacehead, F-16 Renegade, Linus Spacehead, Mega-Lo-Mania, MiG 29 Soviet Fighter, Psycho Pinball, Sensible Soccer, Stunt Buggies, Super Skidmarks, Tennis All Stars, and The Ultimate Stuntman.

Before I geek out too much over Codemasters Collection 1 I should be honest, genuine, and real about the issues within this game. The issues families can have with Codemasters Collection 1 are violence, false gods, lack of attire, enticement to lust, and more. There are some shooter violent video games within Codemasters Collection 1. There are also numerous platformers, some sports games, and a culture builder. The games on Codemasters Collection 1 are 8-bit and 16-bit. There are more 8-bit titles than 16-bit titles.

Codemasters is currently known for their racing games. Codemasters Collection 1 shows that Codemasters had some interesting and different ideas for games back in the day. Bignose and CJ’s Elephant are some interesting characters on the Codemasters Collection 1 cartridge that stuck out for me personally. Tennis All Stars was previously unreleased. That alone is worth the twenty dollars to purchase this cartridge, with case, and instruction manual. I feel Codemasters Collection 1 is definitely worth the money especially if you like retro games.

Families can get some great entertainment and history from Codemasters Collection 1. For example Tennis All Stars was changed and eventually released as Pete Sampras Tennis. It is so cool to see the previous build of the game. It is like getting a director’s raw cut. Psycho Pinball may scare some of the younger members of the family. Codemasters Collection 1 has a lot of history for gamers interested in learning about the past of our industry.
