Darkwing Duck #3

I just finished reading Darkwing Duck #3. There will be spoilers in this review. It is very apparent to me that Drake Mallard is not going to be able to stay away from being Darkwing Duck for very long. He is able to resist the urge in Darkwing Duck #3. There are dangers this comic book ends with. That danger is Bushroot. Multiple people are kidnapped in Darkwing Duck #3. The light to call on Darkwing Duck is shown and he does not show up.

There are some interesting and different things that happen in Darkwing Duck #3. First off Launchpad is now the sidekick to Moloculo Macawber. Moloculo is actually Morgana's father. Drake Mallard and Gosalyn are camping on Moloculo's property. They are evicted and run into a ghost. Drake Mallard tries to stop the ghost and traps himself inside it. This is when Morgana makes an appearance in Darkwing Duck #3.

Drake Mallard has a proposal for Morgana. He wants her to come and shack up with him and raise Gosalyn. The quiet suburban life without the super hero stuff. I am shocked that a comic book targeting kids like Darkwing Duck #3 would promote shacking up. Morgana seems excited that a marriage proposal might be coming. Drake Mallard is clear that he is not proposing to her. Why be so hateful to marriage and support shacking up?

There is a bit of humor within Darkwing Duck #3. Honker gets turned into pudding in Darkwing Duck #3. Why wasn't that corrected? The mementos room in Darkwing Duck #3 is quite impressive. I recognize some of the stuff from the television show. It has been some years since I watched it though. I should check and see if Darkwing Duck is on DVD or Blu-ray. The painting from an alternate timeline was interesting.

There are twenty pages of content within Darkwing Duck #3. After the content is the next issue, ads, and then the cover gallery. Man they make a lot of different covers for their comic books. I have only seen one style of front cover at our local comic book stores. Darkwing Duck #3 contains violence, magic, a ghost and more. I am still bummed about the attack on traditional values and morals within Darkwing Duck #3.
