Darkwing Duck #4
SCORE: 73
Every single hour I get to work on Family Friendly Gaming is a good
hour. I don't care if there are tons of problems to deal with. Darkwing
Duck #4 is another comic book we were blessed enough to be able to
purchase. I am also blessed enough to have the time to read and review
this comic book. Certain aspects of Darkwing Duck #4 finally bring the
franchise exactly where I thought it would wind up going. Otherwise the
comic book would get really boring very quickly. There will be spoilers
in this review.
Gosalyn gets her dad to face off against Bushroot. He tries to do it as
Drake and quickly realizes that he cannot do it that way. So Darkwing
Duck comes out of retirement to stop the bad guy in Darkwing Duck #4. I
have been expecting the return of Darkwing Duck for an issue or two.
This series stretched it out as long as they could before it became a
problem. Who wants to read Drake around the house? Morgana and Drake are
still shacking up and giving a horrible example in Darkwing Duck #4.
There is some humor within Darkwing Duck #4. Darkwing Duck is the brunt
of so many jokes in Darkwing Duck #4 though. He is belittled again and
again in Darkwing Duck #4. I honestly found that kind of lame
personally. Why not have a good strong male character? Why is it men are
constantly under attack in this age? Honker gets returned to his normal
form in Darkwing Duck #4 thankfully. I do not know what that took so
long.
It looks like Launchpad returns to Darkwing Duck in Darkwing Duck #4.
Morgana decides to go and run her restaurant for a bit. Although no one
in Darkwing Duck #4 seems to like her cooking. How does she have a
restaurant? The autumn-izer weapon is pretty cool in Darkwing Duck #4.
It turns the vines into their older and nearly dead forms. Bushroot gets
hit with the weapon and turns from green to brown. He is then easily
captured.
There is a very interesting tidbit in Darkwing Duck #4. Bushroot
mentions that someone told him Darkwing Duck was retired and that
Bushroot could have the run of the town. All Bushroot had to do was
pledge his allegiance to someone. Bushroot realized he said too much and
stopped talking there. What we can extrapolate is that someone else is
running things behind the scenes. Who might this character be? I guess I
gotta keep reading to find out.
