Darkwing Duck #6

I am very thankful for the money to be able to purchase this comic book. I am also blessed with a platform where I can give my opinions on a plethora of topics. Darkwing Duck #6 wraps some things up in a nice little bow. That is really cool and really neat. My main criticism is things were wrapped up a bit too quickly. I could see where a cliffhanger could have been left. Certain other aspects could have been fleshed out. There will be spoilers in this review.

Gosalyn is in costume in Darkwing Duck #6. She calls herself Quiverwing Quack. She shoots a bow and arrow. In fact she hits fruit that brainwashed kids are throwing at her and Darkwing Duck. Things escalate very quickly in Darkwing Duck #6. Megavolt shows up and wants to team up with Darkwing Duck against Dr Nogood. Darkwing Duck rejects the offer so Megavolt goes back to Dr. Nogood. Some characters consider this a betrayal. In my opinion Megavolt followed the wishes of Darkwing Duck.

Then all of a sudden Negaduck is there in Darkwing Duck #6. Then the Fearsome Five make an appearance. Right after that the Justice Ducks show up. This is where things went way too fast in my opinion. There could have been some fleshing out of the Fearsome Five and make it look bad for Darkwing Duck. Then in the next issue the Justice Ducks could show up and save the day. Darkwing Duck #6 rushes us through this and the good guys win over the bad guys. Too many characters came in too fast.

Cartoon violence is the main issue families could have with Darkwing Duck #6. There is plenty of corny comedy and humor within Darkwing Duck #6. There are twenty-two pages of comic book content within Darkwing Duck #6. Then we are treated to one of the covers for next month and some advertisements. The pacing was generally fast within Darkwing Duck #6. There are some parts that made no sense to me at all. Like when Launchpad comes to help Darkwing Duck and gets distracted.

The debate over which flavors are better was clever though. I would love for more pages to be given to some of these characters in the future. Maybe we will get a Justice Ducks series in the future. I do not know. Maybe that was the point of showing them and the Fearsome Five. I like Darkwing Duck #6. I continue to like this series. Do not take my criticisms as anything other than wanting the series to continue to improve and get better. I hope this series continues for some time.
