Darkwing Duck #9

The current Darkwing Duck storyline continue to slowly grow and build in Darkwing Duck #9. We are introduced to more interesting characters within Darkwing Duck #9. This comic book contains twenty-two pages of comic book content, then a page devoted to the next issue, some advertisements, and finally the cover gallery. This is all pretty standard for a Dynamite comic book. At the least the ones I have been reading.

There will be spoilers in this review. There is an advertisement within Darkwing Duck #9 for the Justice Ducks. This is something I recommended in a review or two ago. It will be interesting to see how this group of characters will work together. From what I have seen of them thus far in Darkwing Duck they are extremely dysfunctional. How will they get anything done?

The two issues families could have with Darkwing Duck #9 are magic, and cartoon violence. Darkwing Duck #9 has a lot of running around and getting nowhere. Too many of these heroes in Darkwing Duck #9 do not want to work together. I wish someone would explain why they have such an issue with one another. There is a bit of humor here and there within Darkwing Duck #9.

Darkwing Duck really needs to take a minute and listen to others. He could have saved himself some time. Plus Darkwing Duck messes with completely innocent citizens in Darkwing Duck #9. I like Stegmutt in Darkwing Duck #9. He is a fun character that is very helpful. I am not so big on Stegmutt crushing the tickle gun in Darkwing Duck #9. Stegmutt was trying to save that guy from Darkwing Duck so I understand it.

We go all around in Darkwing Duck #9 to only wind up right back over the ocean. That is where the thief took the Quackerware he or she stole from Herb Muddlefoot. Herb tried to tell DW about it earlier in Darkwing Duck #9. There is a tracking device in his Quackerware. I wonder if Launchpad is going to be there too? I suspect Launchpad will be fine and happy where he is. I will need to keep reading to find out.
