Dungeons & Dragons Saturday Morning Adventures #2
SCORE: 79
I was unable to find the first issue of this comic book series
locally. I did not try to purchase a copy of it online either. When I
looked and tried to package it with other deals it was going to cost
over ten dollars for just this one comic book. I did not feel like doing
it at the time. Most of the other Saturday Morning Adventures have been
one shots that did not contain a story. I thought I might be okay to
read Dungeons & Dragons Saturday Morning Adventures #2 first. I was
wrong.
There will be spoilers in this review. The back of the front cover of
Dungeons & Dragons Saturday Morning Adventures #2 contains the credits
and a recap. Dungeons & Dragons Saturday Morning Adventures #2 is also
Prisoners of the Deep Part Two. I will try and find the money to
purchase the first comic in this series. Although I have some idea what
happened in the first issue from Dungeons & Dragons Saturday Morning
Adventures #2 and the recap.
I need to see if that original cartoon series is on DVD at some point in
the future. I vaguely remember it but I do not think it impressed me
back in my younger years. Maybe I am completely wrong. The problems with
Dungeons & Dragons Saturday Morning Adventures #2 are false gods, magic,
violence, blood, and more. There are some comedic moments within
Dungeons & Dragons Saturday Morning Adventures #2.
Two of the main characters bicker quite a bit in Dungeons & Dragons
Saturday Morning Adventures #2. Their source of contention is the
direction to take as well as leadership. In fact there is a funny moment
where a vote is taken and no one votes for either of them. They want a
different choice for leadership. Dungeons & Dragons Saturday Morning
Adventures #2 contains twenty pages of comic book content, then next
issue, alternate covers, and finally some advertisements.
These kids are sucked into the D&D world thanks to this lady with out of
control magic that is trapped in this building. One of the characters in
Dungeons & Dragons Saturday Morning Adventures #2 has some good
instincts. He believes there is more to the story. She claims to not
remember if there is. Who trapped her there? Where are they now? Why was
she trapped? She is opening portals and bringing in monsters. Maybe that
is why she is trapped.
