Dungeons & Dragons Saturday Morning Adventures #3
SCORE: 77
I did purchase a copy of the first comic book in this limited run
series. I have not gotten it to my reading pile yet though. I am curious
to see where things go next so I decided to read Dungeons & Dragons
Saturday Morning Adventures #3. This comic book picks up from a place I
do not recall. I did not remember that two of the characters got
separated from the group. There will be spoilers in this review.
The issues families can have with Dungeons & Dragons Saturday Morning
Adventures #3 are violence, magic, blood, and more. The recap in
Dungeons & Dragons Saturday Morning Adventures #3 is on the front of the
back cover. The credits are on the same page. There are twenty pages of
comic book content, the main front cover for the next month, alternate
covers for this month, and then some advertisements. Dungeons & Dragons
Saturday Morning Adventures #3 is the typical comic book from IDW
Publishing in the layout.
Eric and Diana are the two characters separated from the party in
Dungeons & Dragons Saturday Morning Adventures #3. They wind up meeting
a beholder. They just barely escape by launching themselves over a large
chasm. The beholder then uses its powers to float them back over. At
that point they are saved by Phaelona. We learn that this is the real
Phaelona. The one they met at the other place was an imposter.
The three of them make it back only to find the rest of the party has
been brainwashed. The heroes in their right minds are able to help the
others shake the mind control. Then we get into the situation where
there are two Phaelona's. Which is the real one? How will they figure it
out? A question is asked to both of them. The answer tells the heroes
who is real and who is the fake in Dungeons & Dragons Saturday Morning
Adventures #3.
At the end of Dungeons & Dragons Saturday Morning Adventures #3 we find
out who the imposter is. Can you guess? Did you already guess? The
imposter was none other than Venger. I honestly had no clue who that
was. I may have watched the Saturday morning cartoon decades ago. If I
did I do not remember Venger. I guess he is some big bad guy the team
must face off against. I will find out when I read the next issue.
