Fast X

Yolanda and I recently had a movie night where we watched Fast X. We did not see this one in the theater like we have some other Fast and Furious movies. Fast X does some very interesting things. It takes two hours and twenty minutes to watch Fast X from start to finish. There are more big name stars coming to this franchise in Fast X. There will be spoilers in this review.

The biggest shock to me about Fast X is the different characters that die. I was honestly not expecting that. It certainly makes Jason Momoa's character Dante look more dangerous. There are some good flashbacks in Fast X that bring us back to the heist in Rio de Janeiro. The one where they were pulling a vault through the streets. Mr. Nobody is gone but we meet his daughter played by Brie Larson. Gal Gadot also appears in Fast X near the end.

Things do not go so well for Dom Toretto in Fast X. He has friends die. His brother looks dead, and most of his family looks to be in peril. Letty does escape her prison in Fast X. She is in the Antarctic so that is a bit of a problem. She is also with the villain from some past movies Cipher played by Charlize Theron. Dante steals a lot from Cipher so they are at odds with one another.

The action scenes are so over the top in Fast X that it is crazy. The team is lead by Roman in Rome to steal some chips. They are setup and actually stealing this huge bomb from the military. The bomb is in this giant sphere that winds up getting out and going toward the Vatican. Dom and Letty get there to minimize the damage. The agency they helped before is now against them as well.

Dante steals all their money and uses it to hire mercenaries to kill them. The majority of the family winds up in an airplane that gets shot down at the end of Fast X. Dom and his son are at the bottom of a dam they drove down. Dante has bombs on the dam so it is not looking so good. Hobbs is trying to get to his mother before she winds up dead since she is on the kill list too.

A lot happens in this movie. The issues families can have with Fast X are violence, bad language, blood, lack of attire, enticement to lust, and more. Dante seems a bit fruity at times. I am not sure if he is trying to get under the skin of other characters or not. Expect much of the humor from this franchise. I love all the homage paid to past movies within Fast X.
