Forza Motorsport

Did you enjoy the live stream I performed of Forza Motorsport? If you missed it then you can check out the video of that live stream in the video section of the Family Friendly Gaming website. We also upload videos of the live streams to our different video sites as time and money allow. There are some things about Forza Motorsport that really impressed me and some things that did not.

First and foremost Forza Motorsport looks nice. We get a racing line and other assists to help us get around the tracks. I was able to get the difficulty setting just right in Forza Motorsport. I learned to brake at certain points and make it through these tracks. There are numerous cars that can be purchased within Forza Motorsport. You will need to do some grinding or increase the difficulty to earn the money for those cars.

My biggest problem with Forza Motorsport is how the races are setup. We must run three practice laps, and then we place somewhere. We can then drop our placement for more money. We must finish in the top three for that additional money. After the three practice laps we are then given the race which is four laps. That means we wind up racing the same track seven times in Forza Motorsport.

The goal in Forza Motorsport is to memorize the tracks and get good at them. My problem is I get mentally bored and start to drift. I make mistakes, and crash. There is a rewind that can be used to save yourself from the mistakes. Other racing games will let you do one practice lap for the qualifying and then you can get right into the race. The racing wound up boring me since I had to do seven laps of the same track again and again.

I think the reason for the excessive running of the same tracks is because there are only twenty tracks in Forza Motorsport at launch. There are over five hundred cars in Forza Motorsport. Many of the tracks in Forza Motorsport are familiar. I have raced them in other racing video games like the previous Forza Motorsport ones. So that makes the repetitive nature of Forza Motorsport even worse.

Thanks to Xbox Game Pass we were able to get a free copy of Forza Motorsport. I do plan on purchasing a physical copy of Forza Motorsport in the future. There is no hurry since I have been able to play and review it already. The size of Forza Motorsport is insane. Forza Motorsport is over one hundred and thirty gigs. The atmosphere does change a lot in Forza Motorsport which is nice.
