G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #289
SCORE: 70
I am very thankful I had the money to purchase a copy of the G.I. Joe
A Real American Hero #289 comic book. I had to order this comic book
online from a seller on eBay. They charge the normal $3.99 for the comic
book and then $5.49 for shipping. We have tried selling things on eBay
and are forced to use a much lower shipping rate. I am a bit confused as
to how they can make this four dollar item wind up cost close to ten
dollars.
There will be spoilers in this review. I really like the art and colors
in G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #289. The paper also feels really good
too. I have read issues after this one so it is neat to see how the
build up to the Cobra Casino was done. Dr. Mindbender and the female
Crimson Guardsman Laura go to Revanche to order some B.A.T.s. A small
team of G.I. Joes is following them and finds out what is going on.
The issues families can have with G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #289 are
violence, lack of attire, and more. We also find out the human selling
at Revanche is actually a robot Alpha-001. I am curious how this
Alpha-001 was created. It must be back in these older issues somewhere.
I am not clear if I will get back to all of them or not. Maybe they did
some graphic novels with the older issues in it.
The announcement of the separation between IDW Publishing and Hasbro on
G.I. Joe is also announced within G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #289.
There are twenty pages of content, next month's cover, Postbox The Pit,
an then some advertisements. G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #289 is a
solid read with some sneaking, action, and a little bit of humor. A
police officer tries to pull over the small team of G.I. Joes in G.I.
Joe A Real American Hero #289.
I now know where Cobra got those female B.A.T.s thanks to G.I. Joe A
Real American Hero #289. That battle android trooper is taken out pretty
easily in G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #289 by G.I. Joe as well. They
figured out the place to go was the eyes once that guard lifted up.
After that it was all over with. They are taking it back to their base
to study it. I hope they check for trackers.
