G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #300
SCORE: 66
Want to know a something? I found myself so excited to work through
my pile of comic books to get to read G.I. Joe A Real American Hero
#300. I am so thankful that I had the $6.99 to purchase a copy of G.I.
Joe A Real American Hero #300. I went into G.I. Joe A Real American Hero
#300 thinking it would be as advertised - the end of this era. The end
of this comic book run. That is how G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #300
was positioned. Please be aware there will be spoilers in this review.
G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #300 ends with a cliffhanger. Many of the
Joes are in a C-130 that is crashing down toward the Cobra Casino. This
really disappointed me because my understanding is this series was
wrapping up. It feels like that was done on purpose to try and force the
publisher to let the storyline complete. In all honesty the writers had
enough time to wrap up this story. Some of the wasted things that were
done in recent issues are even more important now.
There are thirty pages of content then alternate covers, stop the bleed,
and then some advertisements. G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #300 is
three dollars more than the usual ones and it only gives us ten more
pages. I feel like they ripped off readers there as well. There are
plenty of duos in G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #300. We have Storm
Shadow and Wade, Scarlet and Stalker, Cobra Commander and Dawn, Laura
and Sean, Serpentor Khan and Dr. Mindbender, and more.
The Snake Eyes clone turns against Cobra and fights them off. The Joes
come and save Snake Eyes. Serpentor Khan is afraid of Snake Eyes and
winds up retreating. The issues families will have with G.I. Joe A Real
American Hero #300 are blood, violence, and more. I am seriously bummed
that the storyline did not complete. The senior drill instructor
references they move on to a new duty station. Maybe another publisher
is picking up this comic book. I do not know.
It sort of feels like readers are being encouraged to write the
publisher about the comic book. The Snake Eyes clone in G.I. Joe A Real
American Hero #300 can speak. That character is not properly explored in
my opinion. I will try and find some back issues of this comic book when
I get the time and financial resources. I am curious about past events
in this comic book. I also need to go back to the original Marvel comic
books and find out what happened after I left the comic book industry.
