G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #3
SCORE: 62
I just finished reading G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #3. I am thankfully
getting deeper into my pile and getting to some older comic books that
were purchased months ago. The storyline in G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #3
improves a bit from the last issue. There is also a gap in between the
two comic books. The last one ended with Storm Shadow getting away from
that lady. G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #3 starts out with Storm Shadow
captured and tied up. There will be spoilers in this review.
I am still not big on the art style used in G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #3. It
just looks dark and dirty to me. The Morning Light is what is being
looked for. Tiff promises to tell the mean lady where the Morning Light
is. The thing is she is lying and it is just a ploy to give Storm Shadow
some time to take out the guys. They try and cut out his tongue and he
takes the short sword and uses it to free himself and attack the Yakuza
coming after him.
The issues families will have with G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #3 are
violence, blood, lack of attire, referencing a false goddess and more.
There are twenty-two pages of content within G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #3.
There are ads throughout the G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #3 comic book. I
noticed a lot of ads for Dungeons & Dragons in G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #3.
There are some attempts at humor within G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #3 as
well. The ninja convention does stick out.
G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #3 lets us know where the Morning Light is. I
think it is a sword if I understand correctly. Storm Shadow is on his
way to get it and so are the bad characters. How did anyone ever find
out about the Morning Light? There is some interesting conversation in
G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #3 about ninjas and how they changed for the
modern world. At least some of them anyways.
We meet some elderly ladies in G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #3. One of them is
Obake-Obaason. An archer killed her husband and she wants to know if
Storm Shadow caught him yet. The answer is no. I am wondering if that is
Zartan. I remember Zartan killing some ninja masters with a bow and
arrow in the mainline Marvel G.I. Joe comic books. Zartan also killed
Serpentor the same way to end the battle on Cobra Island.
All in all G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #3 still does not impress me. Storm
Shadow is good but referenced as bad at one point. There is no Snake
Eyes in the two comic books I have read. I will continue to read the
comics I have in this series and move on to something else. I wish the
art was better in G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #3. The art just hurts my eyes.
Did anyone actually like this art style?
