G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #4

I am so thankful I am wrapping up this series. Some of my suspicions about where this series came true. G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #4 also threw in a swerve I was not expecting. Well technically two swerves but that is okay. One of those swerves makes little sense to me. I guess it works better in comic books than any other medium. More on that in just a little bit. There will be spoilers in this review.

The first swerve is Tiff is a midget assassin that was proving she could get close to the leader of this criminal organization. The second swerve is related to the sword and its copy. There are numerous back and forth in conversation until it is revealed which one is which. Another swerve is Zartan shows up and he is given the Morning Light sword by Storm Shadow. The sword that Storm Shadow hands to Zartan has the kanji for forgiveness.

The whole Storm Shadow versus Zartan fight did not go the way I expected. It made G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #4 more interesting than I was expecting. The issues families will have with G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #4 are blood, violence, lack of attire, enticement to lust, and more. Pale Peony puts up a good fight against Storm Shadow in G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #4 at first. The way Zartan and Storm Shadow talk Pale Peony had no chance whatsoever.

Ads can be found throughout G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #4. There are twenty-two pages of content within G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #4. The artwork is still not to my personal liking. I love the concept of forgiveness and Storm Shadow giving Zartan a chance in G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #4. The sword being given to Zartan is something that also took me by surprise. Tommy had a good reason for it. Tommy felt the last disciple of that clan should have the sword.

G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #4 wraps things up nicely. There are enough interesting swerves at the end of G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #4 to make it worth the read. I may try and find the first issue at some point in the future. I know what all happens after that comic book. It still might be interesting to see the initial setup to this series. The recap on the back of the front cover of G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #4 is really good.
