G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #5
SCORE: 68
As I dig into my comic book pile I found G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #5. I
thought this franchise ended with the last issue. I guess I was wrong
about that. G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #5 is an one shot storyline that will
not continue. I think there might be even more comic books in this
franchise after G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #5. There will be some spoilers in
this review. Some aspects of G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #5 are not explained
very well.
The issues families can have with G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #5 are violence,
and religious beliefs referencing a false goddess. The violence is much
more tame in G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #5 than some of the previous issues.
The art work in G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #5 is so much better. That dirty
style of drawing is gone and G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #5 looks much more
clean. In fact I actually like the art in G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #5.
There is a very morbid concept within G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #5. There is
this sword technique where someone is sliced in half from the top of
their head down between their legs. If this sword technique is done
right then the victim hears the wind before they die. Thankfully most of
the blood and gore is not shown within G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #5. We do
visit a morgue and see a brain being weighed. That can be a bit
disgusting.
Storm Shadow is brought into Germany to consult on these murders. Storm
Shadow winds up chasing down the bad character. It turns out to be a
robot. Why were humans helping this robot in G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #5?
The humans wind up dead and the robot winds up destroyed. A lot of G.I.
Joe Storm Shadow #5 felt pointless. It is only there to relay the
hearing of the wind concept. How does that make them any less dead?
Ads can be found throughout the G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #5 comic book.
There are twenty-two main pages of content within G.I. Joe Storm Shadow
#5. I found some interesting advertisements within G.I. Joe Storm Shadow
#5. The art gallery page is interesting to me as well. I like how Storm
Shadow saves the lady from the killer robot in G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #5.
G.I. Joe Storm Shadow #5 is an improvement from the previous issues in
my opinion.
