Ghostbusters Afterlife
SCORE: 55
I am very thankful I had the money on Black Friday 2022 to purchase a
copy of Ghostbusters Afterlife on DVD. There is a digital version of
Ghostbusters Afterlife available that comes with this disc as well.
Ghostbusters Afterlife takes place many years after Ghostbusters II. It
is a true sequel that connects directly to the first movie. There will
be spoilers in this review. Gozer is trying to make a come back in
Ghostbusters Afterlife.
Callie Spengler is the daughter of Egon Spengler. She is being evicted
from her place and finds out that her father is dead and left her the
dirt farm. She is absolutely thrilled and hopes to get some money out of
it. The ghost of Egon Spengler guides his grandkids into how to save the
world from Gozer. The coolest thing about Ghostbusters Afterlife is when
the original Ghostbusters show up to save the day.
In some ways Ghostbusters Afterlife feels like passing of the torch down
to a new generation. The little Stay Puft Marshmallow men are pretty
funny in Ghostbusters Afterlife. There is a ghost similar to Slimer but
it eats metal. Not only does it eat metal but it can also send out small
metal projectiles almost like a machine gun. The kids figure out what is
going on in Ghostbusters Afterlife and work to stop it.
The issues families can have with Ghostbusters Afterlife are violence,
bad language, lack of attire, enticement to lust, sex outside of
marriage, ghosts, false gods, and more. There are numerous scares and
creepy moments within Ghostbusters Afterlife. Science is discussed quite
often within Ghostbusters Afterlife. The scenes in the end credits are a
lot of fun to watch in my opinion. It takes 124 minutes to watch
Ghostbusters Afterlife.
