Gold Goblin #3
SCORE: 66
Gold Goblin #3 continues in the Dark Web Saga. I decided I would not
try and buy all these different comic books that completely tells the
Dark Web Saga. I will try and find the graphic novel whenever it winds
up releasing. Gold Goblin #3 feels like it is in this storyline but not
doing much to progress it or anything. A lot of Gold Goblin #3 felt like
recap from previous issues. There will be spoilers in this review.
The issues families will have with Gold Goblin #3 are violence, blood,
gore, bad language, and more. The Limbo crisis is referenced but barely
shown. There is one instance where Gold Goblin saves some kids from a
fire, and some demon possessed stuffed animals. Gold Goblin wants to
destroy his sins but he cannot find Queen Goblin. Why does he need to
find her? She is supposed to have his sins. Norman Osborn wants to
destroy his sins.
The front cover of Gold Goblin #3 that I purchased shows Queen Goblin
and Gold Goblin fighting. Queen Goblin never shows up in Gold Goblin #3.
Jack O'Lantern does attack Gold Goblin in Gold Goblin #3. The
interesting thing is Jack O'Lantern does not want to kill anyone and has
not killed anyone. I thought Jack O'Lantern was a bad guy. Norman Osborn
decides to help Jack O'Lantern out in Gold Goblin #3.
There is a funny moment within Gold Goblin #3 where an actor comes
dressed in a Spider-Man costume to the birthday party of a kid. Norman
Osborn loses his mind over it and gets pretty angry. The poor guy trying
to work a job had to do some tough things just to get to the party. I
like how Norman Osborn realizes how he hurt his son. He was a pretty bad
dad, and he has a moment of clarity about that.
The Bullpen Bulletins was interesting in Gold Goblin #3. Ads can be
found throughout Gold Goblin #3. There are twenty pages of content. The
credits page at the front gives a series overview, and a recap over what
has happened recently. The whole Ben Reilly being bad seems really weird
to me. Where is the real Peter Parker? What is going on there? I am
hoping Gold Goblin gets back on track after this Dark Web Saga.
