Groot #2
SCORE: 68
Groot #2 is another one of those comic books I ordered to get a
better deal from an online merchant on eBay. I thought I was getting the
first issue. It can be confusing with how many of these online merchants
do things on eBay. I then have to relay what I want to our purchaser and
she sometimes makes mistakes. Thankfully Groot #2 has a recap on the
credits page. I learned what this comic book series is all about.
There will be spoilers in this review. The issues families will have
with Groot #2 are violence, mild language, blood, lack of attire,
enticement to lust, and more. Ads can be found throughout this comic
book. There are twenty pages of comic book content within Groot #2. The
Stormbreaker is one I read before, and it did not impress me. Groot is
younger in Groot #2. He also uses the same three words as before.
There are two other young tree creatures in Groot #2. These two other
creatures are Tweeg, and Gleef. They just say their names. They do not
even use the I and am words. Captain SO-LAR and Private Mar-Vell are
also in Groot #2. These two are trying to help the woodland creatures by
stopping the Spoilers. Captain SO-LAR is murdered and that means that
the private needs to become a captain himself later in Groot #2.
The art is on the meh side in Groot #2 for me. I literally have no idea
how anyone understands what Groot says. Yondar of Centauri is also on
Planet X in Groot #2. She is hunting and decides to help out the Kree
and tree people in Groot #2. She is in great peril at the end of Groot
#2. Agz also makes an appearance at the end of Groot #2. He is a tree
person with knives coming out of him at certain places.
The Spoilers destroy the ships of those that come to this Planet X so
Mar-Vell, Groot, Tweeg, Gleef and Yondar do not have a way off the
planet. Unless they can defeat the Spoilers and either stop the jamming
of communications or find a ship off the planet. I suspect one or both
of those will happen in later issues of this comic book series. If I run
across more issues of this series I may check them out. As of right now
this one is not a priority for me.
