Guardians of the Galaxy #1

I am very blessed to have enough money to purchase a copy of the Guardians of the Galaxy #1 comic book. This group of characters has gone through some stuff and it is a bit confusing to me. I remember Guardians of the Galaxy from many years ago, but this iteration is really different. There will be spoilers in this review. Advertisements can be found throughout the Guardians of the Galaxy #1 comic book. There are thirty pages of comic book content for $4.99. Guardians of the Galaxy #1 earns its thirteen and older comic book rating.

The team arrives on the planet Galilee IV outside the town of Solitude. They are there to evacuate the people from this planet. Something bad is coming. That something is what really shocked me. Although the front cover did elude to this. What am I talking about? Grootfall. A giant Groot like meteorite lands on this planet, takes root, and absorbs what it runs into. I also noticed Rocket is not in Guardians of the Galaxy #1. What turned Groot into this planet destroying monster?

The issues families will have with Guardians of the Galaxy #1 are violence, blood, lack of attire, enticement to lust, bad language and more. In some places symbols are used for profanity and in other places the bad language is spelled out. This is not the first Marvel comic book I noticed this trend. In fact I have seen it in others as well. I find this pretty odd. The artwork in Guardians of the Galaxy #1 is decent. There are some interesting versions of these characters in Guardians of the Galaxy #1.

There is a little bit of humor within Guardians of the Galaxy #1. I got a few chuckles while I read this comic book. Not as much as the movies. There does seem to be some tension between the characters in Guardians of the Galaxy #1 too. I have read the Marvel Stormbreaker page before. This radical extremist far left propaganda machine talks about their religious belief in climate change, and wants to give everyone free healthcare. How can people working on these comic books be that disconnected with reality? Are they working for free?

Guardians of the Galaxy #1 starts out feeling like a Wild West comic book that eventually gets into science fiction to get the people off the planet. Well half of them at least. Couldn't they all fit in the ship? That should have also been less weight than trying to haul those giant metal containers. I guess the point was they lose half of the people in Guardians of the Galaxy #1. When I ask questions like these I get plenty of emails telling me these companies like Marvel should hire me to come up with better logic. Maybe someday they will pay attention.
