I am so happy I had the money to buy a copy of the Intellivision
Collection 1 on the Evercade system. The twelve games on this cartridge
are Night Stalker, Astrosmash, Thin Ice, Thunder Castle, Shark Shark,
Princess Quest, Frog Bog, Snafu, Slap Shot Super Pro Hockey, Pinball,
Buzz Bombers, and Word Rockets.
There is quite the retro collection on Intellivision Collection 1. If
you did not know this system competed against the Atari 2600. That is
how old the Intellivision actually is. The graphics and audio are very
retro within Intellivision Collection 1. There is certainly some
historical interest to the games within Intellivision Collection 1.
There are some shooters, sports, action, and more within Intellivision
Collection 1.
Astrosmash is a shooter where we are protecting the planet from falling
rocks, UFOs and missiles. Keep the planet safe and get that high score
if you know what I mean. Buzz Bombers is a really interesting idea for a
video game. We must shoot the bees with repellent. The bees then turn
into honeycombs. A humming bird comes by and eats the honeycombs. The
more the bird eats the more points players earn in Buzz Bomber. In Frog
Bog players have three minutes to eat as many flies as they can.
Night Stalkers is a maze shooter where we grab guns and shoot the robots
trying to take us out. Pinball is a pinball video game. Princess Quest
is an adventure where we must go and save the princess. Players must eat
fish smaller than them in Shark Shark. If you go after fish bigger than
you then you will lose. Players can enjoy a game of hockey in Slap Shot
Super Pro Hockey. Snafu is a game of Snake. In Thin Ice we skate around
other characters to give them a cold bath while staying on the ice
ourselves. Thunder Castle is another adventure with mazes. We launch
letters in Word Rockets to spell words in the sky.
The manual that comes with Intellivision Collection 1 can be very
helpful to figure out how to play the games. Plus there is information
about the games too.
