Jupiter's Legacy Volume 2
SCORE: 57
There is a little interesting story behind how I came to own the
Jupiter's Legacy Volume 2 graphic novel. It was during free comic book
day. Since I spent over fifty dollars I was able to pick up three
graphic novels for free. Now as you can expect the graphic novels that
were available were not very good, or very desired. One of them I picked
up was Jupiter's Legacy Volume 2. They tried to sell it for $16.99, and
then tried to sell it for $8.49. They finally cut their losses and
begged anyone to take it away.
There will be spoilers in this review. I am vaguely familiar with this
franchise thanks to the Netflix television show. I did not realize that
Jupiter's Legacy Volume 2 had the mature rating on it until after I
started reading it. I guess it should not have surprised me. I had a
real issue finding three graphic novels to pick up with my freebie
because of how horrible all of them looked. I also did not read the
first volume.
The issues families can have with Jupiter's Legacy Volume 2 are lack of
attire, enticement to lust, sexual deviancy, bad language, violence,
blood, racism, and more. We have aliens and attacks on capitalism. I
find it funny these angry psycho hater liberals are attacking a system
that makes them so wealthy. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.
Do you actually think your industry would survive in a dictatorship or
communism?
The heroes are going through a transitionary period. Skyfox leaves this
super hero team and gets totally radicalized. He helps criminals riot,
loot, steal, rob, maim, rape, and murder. He even kidnaps the vice
president to try and stop the war. The depths of his evil are absolutely
astounding to me. How does a hero fall that far from grace? He buys into
the big lie that he helped keep people down.
The Superman like character the Utopian is someone who is pretty much
perfect. He does everything for everyone else. His wife leaves him
because it is too exhausting trying to keep up with his perfection. The
Utopian winds up going to his greatest nemesis (Lex Luthor kind of
character) for advise and counseling. I can see why so many people did
not get interested in this franchise. I do not plan on reading any more
of this series.
