Little Medusa

I am very thankful I had the money to purchase a copy of the Mega Cat Studios Collection 1 on the Evercade family of systems. Little Medusa is one of the video games that came on the cartridge. If you catch our live streams then you will be very aware of Little Medusa. There is also a video of Little Medusa on the Family Friendly Gaming website in the videos section. Little Medusa is an 8-bit and 16-bit puzzle video game that reminds me somewhat of The Adventures of Lolo.

Players take on the role of Artemiza who is one of the vain daughters of the Olympian false gods. Little Medusa is thick in the ancient Greece religious beliefs. The main lady in Little Medusa gets turned into a Medusa and that is the main gameplay mechanic. We turn the enemies into stone and then push them into the water to make land we can walk across. The enemies keep respawning so we can make all kinds of land. Do be careful as some of these enemies will lunge at the player.

Take one hit in Little Medusa and you will need to start the level all over from scratch. Players must figure out the gameplay mechanics within Little Medusa for themselves. There are physical copies on retro systems as well as the Evercade. I personally believe you get a better deal on the Evercade since ten retro games are included on the cartridge that Little Medusa appears on.

One of the things families can do with Little Medusa is figure out how quickly they can beat a level. Another thing to do is see if you can figure out the least amount of blocks needed to get the stars. Once the player collects the stars in Little Medusa they have beaten the level. Little Medusa has retro graphics and retro music. The special effect sounds are decent in Little Medusa.

My biggest problem with Little Medusa is I got stuck at one point. For some reason I could not figure out how to get to the stars. I tried a few different theories and nothing worked for me. I could probably look it up. The point is if you are stuck in Little Medusa then you will not progress. I found no way to skip levels based in Little Medusa. This can be lame especially if you want to see more of the puzzles.
