Looney Tunes #270
SCORE: 81
I am very thankful I had enough money to purchase a copy of the
Looney Tunes #270 comic book. There are multiple different stories
within Looney Tunes #270 that feature different Looney Tunes characters.
The three stories within Looney Tunes #270 are Transport Authority, Let
It Snowman, and Zip Drive. Many of the concepts within Looney Tunes #270
have been used in previous Looney Tunes cartoons. There will be spoilers
in this review.
Transport Authority and Let It Snowman are eight pages each. Zip Drive
is four pages. There is also a six page sneak peek of Deadman Tells the
Spooky Tales at the end of Looney Tunes #270. Advertisements can be
found throughout the Looney Tunes #270 comic book. Transport Authority
and Zip Drive feature Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner. Let It Snowman
features Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. There are also some Abonimal Snowmen
in there too.
There is some cartoon violence within Looney Tunes #270. The poor Wile
E. Coyote gets damaged all kinds of ways in Looney Tunes #270. The first
one has him being given a teleporter device so he can teleport right
where he needs to be to get the Road Runner. A glitch sends him into the
past with dinosaurs. Zip Drive allows Wile E. Coyote to run simulations
on how to catch the Road Runner. Once he finds the right one everything
explodes on him anyways.
Bugs Bunny is so rude and hateful to Daffy Duck in Looney Tunes #270. He
routinely tricks Daffy into getting squashed by the Abonimal Snowman
character in Looney Tunes #270. I do like the part where Bugs Bunny
tricks the Abonimal Snowman into wearing a bunny suit so the other
Abonimal Snowmen go after him instead. He could have left it right there
and it would have been good. Sadly Bugs Bunny had to mess over Daffy
Duck one more time.
There is plenty of humor within Looney Tunes #270. Most of Looney Tunes
#270 has been done before in the cartoons. Plus the Abonimal Snowman
story is similar to one I read an issue or two ago. I was hoping this
comic book would bring about some new ideas instead of rehashing the
previously used ones. It would also be great to see some different
character interactions as well. I get some of these characters have done
a lot together. Can we please break some new ground?
