Looney Tunes #271
SCORE: 80
We continue to purchase and review the Looney Tunes comic books.
Looney Tunes #271 is the latest one to enter our forum. There are three
stories within Looney Tunes #271. The three stories in Looney Tunes #271
are What's New Puddy Tat?, A Sticky Spot, and The Woolen Fill-In. The
first two stories are eight pages, and the last one is six pages. After
that is a seven page preview of a Teen Titans Go! There will be spoilers
in this review.
There are advertisements that can be found throughout Looney Tunes #271.
The art is good and clean within Looney Tunes #271. There is some
cartoon violence within Looney Tunes #271. The first story is all about
Sylvester and Tweety Bird. A dog Hector winds up staying with the cat
and bird. Hector tries to get the pair to get along in Looney Tunes
#271. Nothing works quite right. At the end Crusher (another dog shows
up).
There is some humor within Looney Tunes #271. I feel so bad for Wile E.
Coyote in Looney Tunes #271. Wile E. Coyote gets an Acme Guided Missile
in Looney Tunes #271. He is going to use to finally get that obnoxious
Road Runner. The homing disc winds up getting glued to Wile E. Coyote.
As you might expect the rocket gets launched and more Wile E. Coyote
suffers a missile strike in Looney Tunes #271.
The final story in Looney Tunes #271 has a good connection to the
previous one. Wile E. Coyote cannot go to his job with Sam trying to get
the sheep. Daffy Duck is a temp sent over for the day. Daffy is really
good and fools Sam over and over again. Sadly Daffy gets messed up
repeatedly in Looney Tunes #271. I feel bad for Daffy in Looney Tunes
#271. I also feel bad for Sylvester. Tweety is so horrible to Sylvester.
The Teen Titans Go preview is not really that interesting to me. I
noticed most of the advertisements within Looney Tunes #271 are for the
younger members of the family. I know some comic book companies fail at
that. There are a few chuckles here and there from reading Looney Tunes
#271. A lot of the content feels very familiar though. I am not sure if
there were cartoons with the same ideas or not.
