Looney Tunes #272
SCORE: 83
I was getting a bit bored with this comic book until Looney Tunes
#272. This is one of the funniest Looney Tunes comic books I have read
in awhile. I also like the whole theme across this comic book with three
different stories. First we have eight pages of Duck Dodgers and the
Return to the 24 1/2th Century. Then we have eight pages of What's
[Space] Opera, Doc? Finally we have eight pages of Duck Dodgers and the
Reboot of the 24 1/2th Century.
There will be spoilers in this review of the Looney Tunes #272 comic
book. The futuristic and space theme in Looney Tunes #272 is fantastic.
The humorous moments are laugh out loud in Looney Tunes #272. The What's
[Space] Opera, Doc? is like Star Trek with the different Looney Tunes
characters. Bugs is the captain and Fudd is the one attacking their
ship. When Daffy (the doctor) almost dies I was rolling at his comment
that was similar to Spock's.
The main issues families can have with Looney Tunes #272 is violence.
There are a variety of different cartoon violence scenarios in Looney
Tunes #272. At the end of Looney Tunes #272 is seven pages of a sneak
peek of Bruce Wayne Not Super. The sneak peek did not really interest me
in reading that book. Maybe your reaction will be different. Duck
Dodgers gets so abused in Looney Tunes #272. Like when his cadet becomes
a commander.
The time traveling element in the first story is very interesting in
Looney Tunes #272. I felt like the justice system in the last one is
extremely flawed. If Duck Dodgers was frozen why did he age? No one else
aged. That made little sense to me. Maybe I am a bit too logical. I did
like how Duck Dodgers was willing to go right back into that freezing
unit even though he was really old. Looney Tunes #272 thinks aging will
be solved in the future.
Kids should get a kick out of Looney Tunes #272. Parents will like that
Looney Tunes #272 is only $2.99. All in all I really liked this comic
book. That is important because my opinion of this one was starting to
sour. Hopefully they can keep the humor up in future issues. I would
like to see Bugs Bunny take some licks in the future. I am a bit tired
of Daffy always being the brunt of ever little thing. I can hope can't
I?
