Looney Tunes #273
SCORE: 79
There are three Looney Tunes in the Looney Tunes #273 comic book. The
three stories are A Claim of Thrones, Witch Graft, and Knights Lite. The
first story is eight pages, the second story is four pages, and the
final story is eight pages. That brings the mainline comic book content
within Looney Tunes #273 to twenty pages. There are also seven pages of
a Sneak Peek at Green Lantern Alliance. There will be spoilers in this
review.
The issues families can have with Looney Tunes #273 are cartoon
violence, magic, witchcraft, and more. The Black Knight stole the kings
throne to use it in his cave. Why does he want it in his cave? If he is
so bad why not just conquer the castle with his dragon and sit on the
throne in the castle? All of the knights are burned so the court jester
Bugs Bunny must go and get the throne. He does so with his usual antics.
The throne happens to be pretty heavy and Bunny must abandon it to avoid
getting hit with fire from the dragon. The throne gets all burned up.
Bugs Bunny convinces the Black Knight and the dragon to be a new chair
for the king since they destroyed his last one. Again I come back to why
would a bad guy agree to that? The Black Knight should be like oh well I
lost my throne and don't care what the king thinks. After all the Black
Knight and his dragon killed all the knights that came after them.
Witch Graft is about two mice that find this witches house and she
decides to take their tails. One of the mice get ahold of her magic wand
and makes things like the cage vanish. He eventually decides to take it
all back and it puts them back in the cage. They lose their tails at the
end of Looney Tunes #273. It is a short story too. Honestly this story
was my personal least favorite. For a wide array of reasons.
The last story Knights Lite in Looney Tunes #273 is actually clever and
gave me a chuckle. Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck are doing this Robin Hood
king of thing. They enter this tournament to win the hand of the fair
princess. Porky Pig fights them in the tournament. Bugs Bunny and Daffy
Duck win the tournament and then they see the princess is a pig. They
both are running away and willing to let the other one take the prize.
