MX vs ATV Legends

There are many times when I start live streaming a video game that I plan on multiple streams of an hour or more. Then what happens is during that first hour of live streaming the game I realize I never want to play this game again - ever. That is what happened with MX vs ATV Legends on the Playstation 4. I am thankful I had the money to purchase this racing video game. I am just not big on it.

I have two major issues with MX vs ATV Legends. The first is the lack of consistency. I easily won a race on easy and then got last place in the next race. I then dropped the difficulty to very easy and could not get above eighth place. I could never make one jump even though I took the tutorial and did what the game said to do. Never mind the complexity of some of the controls within MX vs ATV Legends.

The second issue I have with MX vs ATV Legends is the computer controlled characters. Even on very easy they love knocking you off the track. I would go from first to last thanks to a computer controlled character messing me over. The ATVs and UTVs can be even harder to race with because they are bigger and we are still on these narrow tracks. The offensive music within MX vs ATV Legends can be turned off after the tutorial is completed.

MX vs ATV Legends looks okay. We start in a free roam area where we must get to the tutorial locations. Then it is always back to the garage to pick the next thing you want to do. Then we go to a main menu like screen. MX vs ATV Legends would tell me I had unlocked ATVs and UTVs at different points, but I could not race in them until racing in another one again. Weird glitches for a game in my opinion.

A lot of the tracks within MX vs ATV Legends feel bland. I learned the best path by watching the computer controlled racers. MX vs ATV Legends makes me feel that motorcycle racing is better than ATV and UTV. Even on very easy difficulty setting in MX vs ATV Legends you will lose badly if you make a couple of mistakes. Going off track respawns quickly unless the computer knocks you out of bounds.
